This game is about An astronaut stuck in the space station trying to make it out by finding the crystal. It’s a 3D first-person shooter game with platforming and progression-based level design. To complete each level, the player must find keys that match door colors, unlock new rooms, fight enemies, and finish movement challenges to reach the final goal crystal.

Modifications:

  1. Level Design Expansion
Levels 3 and 4 were added. Both levels use a three-room structure instead of the original layout. Each room has a different objective involving keys, doors, moving platforms, enemies, and jump pads.
  2. Platforming and Progression Changes
In Level 3, the player first uses a checkpoint and jumps across platforms to get the first key. In Room 2, the player uses that key, defeats spawning enemies, and times a jump onto a moving platform that reaches the target key platform for only a few seconds. In Room 3, a jump pad is introduced and used with moving platforms to get the next key.
In Level 4, the player uses three jump pads to get the first key. In Room 2, instead of jumping directly from one platform to another, the player uses a jump pad to launch onto the target platform and can choose between a health pickup or an extra life while landing. In Room 3, the player uses a jump pad to reach a moving platform with another jump pad and must wait for its movement pattern to line up under the goal crystal before using it to finish the game.
  3. Enemy and Spawner Changes
Enemy spawners were added to create combat sections. In Level 3, the player must clear spawning enemies in one of the rooms before continuing.(attempt at making it a bit more time constraint without adding a timer but slower progression = more enemies.
  4. Weapon Changes
Level 3 uses a shotgun with animation. Level 4 uses an electro gun.
  5. Audio and Environment Changes
The background music for Levels 3 and 4 was changed to custom music made in collaboration using FL Studio and GarageBand. Level 4 also has additional environmental props.
